Our Grenache is a classic representation of the varietal, displaying flavors of bright strawberries, raspberries and notes of white pepper. The bold fruit could be compared with a fruit roll up! It is juicy and mouthwatering with a finish that lingers for several minutes.

When Mourvedre is grown in the foothills of the Sierras, its bold luscious fruit presents deep, rich, spicy boysenberry with hints of cherry and cinnamon. The Grenache grape tends to be soft and silky, somewhat akin to a top flight Pinot Noir but with more density and palate presence. The Syrah grape, deep purple in color, showcases lavender, violet, cocoa and nutmeg characteristics.

Our JUDD Cabernet is a more fruit-forward wine than our other Cabernet Sauvignon bottlings. Historically, we've used our JUDD label to denote novel winemaking practices or the bottling of new varietals. In the case of this wine, the label highlights a Cabernet that is suprisingly versatile and approachable in its youth.

Three varietals comprise this blend. The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vineyards in St. Helena, Rutherford and Oakville. The Petit Verdot comes from the Oro Puro vineyard adjacent to Judd’s Hill in southwest Napa. And the Cabernet Franc is from the Cypress Vineyard in Napa’s Pope Valley sub-AVA. They all produce expressive fruit that enables our Winemakers to craft a full bodied and complex wine.
