2009 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley

2009 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa ValleyThe bouquet of this wine is full of ripe mango, tangerine and passion fruit.  On the palate, a dollop of lime is added to this medley of tropical fruit.  there is a bright, mineral core that adds support to the fruit and gives a chalky weight and texture.

More than any other variety, Sauvignon Blanc is what we reach for to accompany fresh and vibrant seafood dishes.  Given the bright tropical components of this new release, fresh seafood with a fruity kick is a perfect pairing.  We encourage you to get creative and try it with a tropical sushi roll, a delicious fusion of Japanese and South American flavors, filled with fried shrimp, avocado and mango.

This wine is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, with 70% sourced from the Rawls Vineyard in Calistoga and the remaining 30% coming from the Dalla Gasperina Vineyard in Rutherford.  It has been aged for 5 months in slightly used French oak barrels.
