Our Grenache is a classic representation of the varietal, displaying flavors of bright strawberries, raspberries and notes of white pepper. The bold fruit could be compared with a fruit roll up! It is juicy and mouthwatering with a finish that lingers for several minutes.

Each year we select the best Bordeaux varietal barrels in our cellar to create our Founder's Art. For this 2013 release, our favorite Cabernet Sauvignon barrels were augmented with the addition of 2% Petite Verdot, 5% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc.  The result was spectacular enough to earn a 94+ score from the Wine Advocate!

Three varietals comprise this blend. The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vineyards in St. Helena, Rutherford and Oakville. The Petit Verdot comes from the Oro Puro vineyard adjacent to Judd’s Hill in southwest Napa. And the Cabernet Franc is from the Cypress Vineyard in Napa’s Pope Valley sub-AVA. They all produce expressive fruit that enables our Winemakers to craft a full bodied and complex wine.

This exotic dessert wine was made from Roussanne that was left to hang on the vine until mid November. Ideal conditions allowed for the growth of Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the fruit and concentrates its sugars.  The end result is a wine rich with aromas of honey-suckle leading to layer upon layer of dried apricot balanced by crisp citrus.
