2011 Milliken Creek Estate Pinot Noir - With each swirl of the glass a different layer of aroma is brought out, from light cherry to raspberry with hints of pomegranate. Big bold fruit up front with a long berry finish allows this wine to coat your palate with fruit. Pinot Noir is a difficult grape to grow and a challenging wine to make but it is certainly an easy red wine to drink!
2012 Syrah - Our 2012 Syrah sings out notes of blackberry and plum with jamy overtones. The fruit bursts on your palate and lingers with a well-rounded mouth feel and a hint of pepper on the finish.
2011 Old Vine Petite Sirah - The origins of this grape are in France. However, today, California is the place to look for the best expression of Petite Sirah. The “Petite” refers not to the size of the vines or the concentration of flavor, but rather to the size of the grapes themselves. In fact, the high skin-to-juice ratio that is typical of this varietal produces a wine with bold tannins and balanced acidity. Its blackberry and plum characteristics show beautifully; and while this wine is worthy of aging, it is very approachable now.
2013 Old Vine Zinfandel - Pat Burke, our Wine Club Manager Emeritus here at Judd’s Hill, is a noted wine connoisseur, nationally recognized barbecue champion and the inspiration for this delicious wine. Our 2013 Zinfandel is quite expressive with ripe cherry overtones, flavors of date, raisin, fig and a hint of pepper.
2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - Aromas are the heart of tasting, and the hint of cassis and violet create a magnificent balance between floral and fruit on the nose. Once in your mouth, the flavors coat with a rich bold feel. The finish is pure cherry with hearty yet well-balanced tannins. This Cabernet can cellar up to ten years from vintage. But why wait? With the right combination of food, the tannins will melt away and the fruit will linger for at least 60 seconds.
2009 Meritage - Opulently crimson in color, the second vintage of our Meritage expresses aromas of blackberry, plum, cedar, as well as caramel. As the wine evolves in your glass, the bouquet offers delicate notes of white pepper, mulberry, clove, currant, cinnamon and anise. The first sip reveals flavors of black cherry, quince, blueberry, black licorice and Madagascan vanilla bean. This vintage displays true aging potential, yet is drinking elegantly in its youth.
